My first grandchild, Katherine Anne, was born in 2002. Of course, we were all thrilled with her arrival and proceeded to buy her so many clothes that she had to have her own walk-in closet! Watching her one day, pulling shoes out of her closet and throwing them in all directions, I was amazed at how much fun she was having. She was not only exploring her new world, but using her imagination and creativity to keep herself entertained. The concept of Katherine's Closet was created that same day.

We launched our website in 2005 and after a successful year of growth and expansion we are now launching the exciting new Katherine’s Closet website and announcing the opening of our flagship store at 29 George Street in Perth, Scotland. Both stores will feature items from our exclusive group of American designers as well as our own signature line of children’s clothing. Our store in Perth will also feature a room designed especially for Mums including the popular matching mum-and-baby maternity wear as well as lots of other goodies for the Yummy Mummy.

My ultimate goal is to bring a sense of American childhood to the U.K. that not only reflects the creativity and imagination of any child but also celebrates my beloved granddaughters, Katherine, and her younger sister, Claire.

As you browse through Katherine's Closet you will discover many wonderful things. Playful and fun things, beautiful and stylish things, comfy and cosy things. I hope you enjoy peeking in because you never know what you might find!
